My first trip to Ireland was 25 years ago, when I’d planned to walk across the island. My husband went along and convinced me to circumnavigate the island and to combine walking with other forms of transportation. Little did he know that he’d fall in love with Ireland even more than I had. Over the years, we made s8 or 9 trips to various parts of the country, feeling particularly at home in County Kerry.
Two years ago, a client of the Cooler Gallery offered me a vacation at his home in Kerry in exchange for a painting. We liked the setting so much we eventually bought a piece of his property and now try to spend three months a year there.
My hiking as given me access to incredible scenery and I rarely let it escape. The more dramactic the scene, the more likely I am to paint it.
